River Valley High School softball team swept a doubleheader on Friday against The Odyssey Institute For Advanced and International Studies, outscoring their opponent 49-0.
Trinity Williams earned the win in both games and did not allow a hit. She also struck out 19 and finished with six RBIs along with Carissa Campos, Karina Pulu, and Chastiny Gonzalez. Aaliyah Rodriguez, though, led the team with seven RBI, while Tamarie Williams had four and Kennadee Brown had three, including a home run.
This was the team's eighth win of the season, as they are now 8-8 heading into their matchup at home against Kingman High School on Monday, March 27, at 5 p.m. The Bulldogs are 4-4 this year but fell 13-1 in their last game against Yuma Catholic.
