The River Valley softball team picked up win number 12 this season with the first of two games this week against Tonopah Valley on Tuesday.

The Dust Devils scored 12 runs in the opening inning, led by Tamorie Williams recording an inside-the-park home run to start the game. She also knocked in three with a single and came around to score on the same play on an error.

Carissa Campos drove in four runs, while Trinity Williams knocked in three and struck out 10 on the mound. Kennadee Brown finished with two RBIs. Karina Pulu, Aaliyah Rodriguez, Kaelynne Niswonger and Morgan MacDonald shined as well in the win.

"The girls played a strong non-conference schedule early in the season that helped prepare us for conference play, including the Tournament of Champions," Head Coach Tim Williams said. "We continue to work hard in all areas of the game and look forward to the state playoffs."

These two teams will play again at Tonopah Valley today at 3:45 p.m., with the Dust Devils looking for their 10th straight win.
