The Dust Devils beat Bourgade Catholic 6-0 in their first game on Monday, with Chloe Gorrell and Danika Collins both recording hat-tricks. Mia Cervantes added two assists and Gorrell added one. River Valley then beat Kingman Academy 8-0 on Tuesday.
Gorrell added five goals while Collins had two and Addyson West scored one.
"On Monday's game, I feel it was game one jitters as they didn’t play to their full potential, and going into Tuesday's game they stepped up and everything they have been working on showed in their performance, especially getting home late the night before," head coach Ed Marquez said. "We are off to a great start; as long as we stay on this path there should be no reason we aren’t playing in February, which I have all the belief that they can make a playoff run this year."
